These individuals were nominated for December Student Athlete and Activity Participant.
Kaisha Solomon was nomimated by her Junior High Basketball coach, Vic Jacobsen. Coach Jacobsen said, "Her effort is great and I love how if she drops or kicks a ball she doesn't just go get and continue the drill. She goes back to the spot where the error was made and resumes the drill. That effort to be precise and correct is laudable."
Reata Elting was nominated by her FFA sponsor, Rachel Eickman. Mrs. Eickman said, "Reata is the chapter Vice President and does a lot of the 'behind the scenes' organization that helps the chapter operate. She is the first to sign up for concession stands and she is chairing the Cattlemen's Ball committee, Labor Auction committee and participates in the rest."
Yong Wang and Kinzie Remmers were nominated by their One-Act coach, Jane Dodes. "Coach Dodes said, "Yong was concerned about his grades and rehearsals, but managed to handle both. He show great character." "Kinzie showed amazing determination and grit! She performed the day after a serious car accident...and was able to receive an outstanding acting award."
Awards are based on the nominee’s work in the classroom, performance in their sport/activity, and their involvement in the community. Congratulations on being chosen for the month of December.
