We know your school, students, and parents are missing graduation, but here’s how you can help! Below, we’ve listed 3 ways that you can still give seniors and their families the graduation recognition they deserve.
1.Record and edit your virtual ceremony into one video. Stream that video live on your scheduled graduation day and time.
2. Instead of playing virtual ceremony video live, upload the recording to your channel to be viewed on-demand.
3. Smaller schools are streaming the ceremony outside and following social distancing guidelines by having only seniors present, and streaming for family members to watch at home.
Hosting your virtual graduation through Striv is simple. Allowing your community to have one location they can go to celebrate graduation online is key. You don’t want to make it complicated for parents, grandparents and relatives to find. Send everyone to your Striv channel which is one link and help eliminate the confusion on where to go.
Here are some examples of what Striv Schools are doing to honor their senior classes through Striv:
Holdrege Public Schools is filming all of the seniors getting announced and receiving their diploma (one at a time, with plenty of distancing), still making a class video, recording Valedictorian speeches (and any others you’d have), and then editing to create one big video, then playing it “live” on their Striv channel on their scheduled graduation day and time.
Perkins County Schools is looking to do something very similar to Holdrege, except their video will be in the on-demand section, so people can watch any time after they post. They are uploading the video to their channel on the “day of” graduation.
Shickley Public School is looking to do a “parade” with the grads on four wheelers/golf carts/lawnmowers through town, then ending on the FB field. They are looking to stream a ceremony from the field, with only the class present (13 kids)
