Engaging Breakout Sessions
Teachers and students may choose one breakout session of their choice to dive deeper into how to get started, learn more, and ask questions about the following areas: Broadcasting, Podcasting, Videography, & Social Media Marketing
Session Details
- Broadcasting and Scripting a Game with Eric Allgood
Take your livestream to the next level by learning how to write a basic script for a game, adding simple graphics and videos to Wirecast, and a few tips and tricks to keeping stats. In addition, you will take home a broadcasting glossary and a list of how-tos for becoming a better broadcaster. Come prepared with questions! - Podcast Like A Pro with Alyssa Allmon
You will learn the basics of podcasting, such as how to podcast, where to host, and a Q&A where you can ask a Striv Team member how they produce a show, and how to create your very own show intro. Students will have the majority of the session to write and record their own intro. Students should bring a pair of headphones or a phone that has recording capabilities. - Create A 30-second Video in Adobe Premier with Ben & Dante
Ben and Dante will walk through the basics of creating a recap video in Adobe Premier. Engage in Q&A about how to set up full video production and sequence. Students will leave with a guide for camera settings and a YouTube playlist of videos for beginning editors. Please come prepared with a phone or laptop. - Social Media Marketing with Nick
At this session, you will learn how to better use social media to share your school’s story. Students will learn new and awesome social media strategies, how to write effective copy, post engaging content, and take home answers to your biggest social media questions.
